そういえば MySQL に何も手を加えていないので。

過去の記憶によると，/etc/mysql/conf.d に設定ファイルを書いたはず。

utf8.cnf

[mysqld]

mysql/conf.d って？

mysql/my.cnf には最後にこんな記述があるんだよ。

再起動して，もう一度。

$ sudo /etc/init.d/mysql restart

Debian で MySQL をインストールすると，debconf （？）で最初に root のパスワードを設定してくれるようになったね～。いつからだろ？

Redmine 用のデータベースとユーザを作成しておく。
